Find your ideal body weight range based on height

Clacify's Ideal Weight Calculator uses four major clinical formulas — Hamwi, Devine, Robinson, and Miller — to give you a healthy weight range for your height and gender. Research shows no single formula is universally accurate across all body types, so the tool shows the range across all four methods. For Indian populations, the ideal BMI range of 18.5–22.9 maps to slightly lower weights than Western standards. A healthy weight also depends on muscle mass, bone density, and body composition, which BMI formulas do not account for.
Ideal weight varies by height, gender, and body frame. As a general guide for Indians: a 5'6" (168 cm) woman should weigh 55–65 kg; a 5'6" man should weigh 60–70 kg. These correspond to a healthy BMI of 18.5–23. Use the Ideal Weight Calculator for a personalised estimate based on your exact height.
The Devine formula (most widely used): Men: IBW = 50 kg + 2.3 kg per inch above 5 feet. Women: IBW = 45.5 kg + 2.3 kg per inch above 5 feet. Example: a 5'8" man: 50 + (8 × 2.3) = 68.4 kg ideal weight.
