About Rotate PDF

Rotate PDF fixes the orientation of pages in a PDF — turn sideways or upside-down pages the right way up, in your browser. Scanned documents and phone-captured pages often come out rotated; this tool lets you rotate individual pages or the whole document by 90, 180, or 270 degrees and save the corrected file. Because it runs locally with no upload, even confidential scans stay private on your device. The rotation is saved into the PDF itself, so the pages display correctly in every viewer afterwards.

Why Use Rotate PDF?

How It Works

The PDF is loaded with the client-side pdf-lib library, which lets the tool set each page's rotation property by the angle you choose. Because rotation is stored as page metadata rather than re-rendering the content, there is zero quality loss — the original page data is untouched. The corrected PDF is then serialised and downloaded. Everything happens locally in the browser with no server upload.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to rotate a PDF page?

Upload your PDF to Clacify's Rotate PDF tool. Select the pages you want to rotate (or all pages) and choose the rotation direction (90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, or 180°). Click Rotate and download the corrected PDF. The original file is not modified — a new PDF is generated.

Why is my PDF showing sideways?

PDFs often end up sideways when scanned with a document scanner that captures pages in landscape orientation, or when printing to PDF from a landscape spreadsheet or presentation. Use the Rotate PDF tool to correct the orientation — select all pages and rotate 90° clockwise or counter-clockwise to fix the document.
