A Unix timestamp (or epoch time) is the number of seconds elapsed since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC (the Unix Epoch). It is a timezone-independent way to represent any moment in time as a single integer. For example, the timestamp 1700000000 equals 14 November 2023 22:13:20 UTC.
