Split PDF lets you break a single PDF into separate files — extract specific pages, split into individual pages, or divide a document into ranges — all in your browser. It's the counterpart to merging: when you only need chapter 3 of a report, want to send one section without the rest, or need to separate a scanned batch into individual documents. Everything is processed locally with no upload, so sensitive PDFs never leave your device, which matters for contracts, financial records, and personal documents.
The tool loads your PDF with a client-side library (pdf-lib) and copies the pages you select into one or more new PDF documents at the object level, preserving text, fonts, and images intact. You choose the pages or ranges; the tool assembles the output files and offers them for download. No server is involved — the split happens entirely in your browser's memory, so the document stays private.
Open Clacify's Split PDF tool, upload your PDF, and choose 'Extract all pages as separate files'. The tool processes the PDF in your browser and downloads a ZIP containing each page as its own PDF file — no account, no watermark, no server upload.
In Clacify's Split PDF tool, after uploading your PDF, enter the page range you want (e.g., '3-7' for pages 3 to 7, or '2,5,8' for specific pages). Click Extract and the tool downloads a new PDF containing only those pages. The original PDF is not modified.
Clacify processes all PDF operations entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your PDF file is never uploaded to any server. This means your document contents remain completely private, even for confidential documents like contracts, financial statements, or medical reports. The tool works offline once the page has loaded.
