Convert text to audio using browser speech synthesis
Built & maintained by Pappu Venkata Subbi Reddy, founder of Clacify
Clacify's Text to Speech tool uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API to convert any text to spoken audio. Choose from available voices on your device (including English India voices), adjust speaking speed and pitch, and listen instantly — no audio file is downloaded unless you want to record it. Useful for proofreading (hearing your writing reveals errors you miss visually), accessibility, language learning, and listening to long articles hands-free.
Available voices depend on your operating system and browser. Windows typically includes 'Microsoft Heera' and 'Microsoft Priya' (English India), macOS includes Siri voices, and Android Chrome includes Google voices. All voices are rendered locally by your browser's speech engine — no audio is sent to any server.
Yes — listening to your writing is one of the most effective proofreading techniques. Your brain auto-corrects errors when reading silently, but your ear catches them when you hear the text read aloud. Paste your draft into Clacify's Text to Speech and listen for awkward phrasing, repeated words, and grammar errors.
